Wisdom Story of the Month: New Year Reflections
Updated: Jul 28, 2020
I love January! It is so peaceful and quiet after the holiday season and a perfect time to reflect and recharge. I have been working on consciously linking awareness of nature’s cycles to an understanding of my own personal growth cycles. Planning the quarterly Soulful Supper Club gatherings, which are themed to the most recent equinox or solstice, is really helping me tap into that.
In January, we often feel pressure to make new year’s resolutions. I no longer buy into that notion. However, I do believe that the Winter Solstice is a time to work on self-renewal.
The energetic idea of the longest night and darkest day of the Winter Solstice slowly turning into the rebirth of the sun at the Summer Solstice, the longest and brightest day of the year, reminds me not to be in a hurry. I will remember to take all the time needed to look inward, take stock of myself and present situation and envision what I want for the future. I will be playful and open about the possibilities and take a more meandering path to see where it all leads. I hope you will try the same!
The Sattva Wisdom Centeris thrilled to offer many resources as you continue on your personal journey in 2020. We can’t wait to welcome you!
Love and light,
