The Wisdom of Challah Baking

Wednesday December 2nd at 7:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. EDT

With Lindsey Glantz

Did you know that baking can be a form of intention-setting and meditation?

Join Lindsey Glantz, attorney and Challah-baking expert for this special class.

Fill your home with the aroma of baking bread just in time for the holidays!

What Will I Learn?

Lindsey will demonstrate how to make Challah. You can watch or join in with her from your kitchen.

As she takes us step by step through the process, Lindsey will explain:

•The universal, spiritual consciousness behind every step and every ingredient

•Meditations connected with the Challah preparation

•Tips on braiding Challah and preparing the dough

In Judaism it is said that if 40 women bake Challah with intention, it has the power to change the course of natural events!

Edward Espe Brown, a Zen priest and author, says “...making bread creates a shift in awareness. You mix the ingredients, put your hand in the water to test the temperature and feel the dough as you’re kneading it. You use your senses. Meditation is sometimes referred to as ‘coming to your senses’ and in making bread there’s the same quality of waking up and giving your attention to something.”

Join us for this fun and unique experience!

You will receive a written recipe (sent in advance).
